Terms of service
For Steel Gates, Automation, Installation, Servicing & Maintenance
1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed with Crown Gates (“we”, “us”, “our”) for the supply of steel gates, automation equipment, installation services, and servicing/maintenance.
1.2 By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1.3 These Terms apply to consumers purchasing for domestic use.
2. Products & Specifications
2.1 All steel gates supplied by us are bespoke and manufactured to the sizes, style and specification confirmed by you in writing.
2.2 Steel is a durable material but may show natural characteristics such as minor surface marks, weld points, or slight colour variation within powder coating.
2.3 Powder coated finishes require ongoing care. Chips, scratches or impact damage must be repaired promptly to prevent rust.
2.4 Any drawings, measurements or specifications provided by you must be accurate. We cannot accept liability for errors caused by incorrect information supplied to us.
2.5 If we are carrying out installation, we may take our own measurements. If you are purchasing on a supply only basis, all measurements remain your responsibility.
3. Ordering Process
3.1 A contract is formed once:
- You have placed an order,
- You have confirmed all sizes/specifications in writing, and
- We have accepted the order and issued an order confirmation.
3.2 You are responsible for checking all order details. Manufacturing will not begin until written confirmation is received.
3.3 Once manufacturing has begun, changes may not be possible. If changes are requested, additional charges may apply.
4. Payment
4.1 Payment for steel gates and associated services can be made through our ecommerce website or via card machine payment arranged through sales@crowngates.co.uk.
4.2 We also offer approved third party credit and instalment options, such as Klarna, where available. These services are provided directly by the finance provider and are subject to their own terms, eligibility checks, and approval processes.
4.3 Full payment (100%) is required at the time of ordering, whether paid upfront or through an approved credit provider. Your order will not enter production until payment has been received in full and all specifications have been confirmed in writing.
4.4 As all products are bespoke and made to order, payments are non refundable once production has begun.
4.5 If payment fails, is withdrawn, declined, or cannot be processed (including through a credit provider), we may suspend or cancel the order.
4.6 Goods remain the property of Crown Gates until payment has been received in full and cleared.
Crown Gates may offer third party finance options at checkout, including providers such as Klarna and other approved credit partners. These finance services are provided directly by the finance provider, not by Crown Gates.
By choosing to pay using a finance option, you acknowledge and agree that:
- All finance agreements are strictly between you and the finance provider.
- Crown Gates is not a lender, does not offer regulated credit, and does not participate in the approval process.
- All finance is subject to the provider’s own terms, conditions, eligibility checks, and approval criteria.
- The finance provider may carry out soft or hard credit searches depending on the payment plan selected.
- Crown Gates has no influence over approval decisions and cannot override, appeal, or review any finance outcome.
- Your order will only proceed once the finance provider has confirmed payment to Crown Gates.
- Any questions, disputes, payment issues, or changes to your finance agreement must be handled directly with the finance provider.
- Using a finance option does not alter Crown Gates’ standard Terms & Conditions, including policies on bespoke manufacturing, cancellations, refunds, lead times, or warranty.
If a finance provider declines your application or fails to release payment, Crown Gates reserves the right to delay, suspend, or cancel the order until an alternative payment method is provided.
